How to clean the microwave in a simple and effective way?

This appliance, which greatly facilitates our day to day, is one of the dirtiest

There is no doubt that the microwave is one of the star appliances in our kitchen. It is one of those great allies that we have in our home and that facilitate our day to day. Its practicality is unquestionable. However, it is also one of the most easily dirty devices. And it is common for the microwave to accumulate splashes, grease, or food remains.

To combat these inconveniences, in this article we offer you some tricks that will end in a simple and effective way to leave the microwave on the first day.

Use dish soap

A good option to clean the microwave without great effort and in a few minutes is to use the soap that we use for the dishwasher. To do this, we pour a tablespoon of liquid soap into a bowl with warm water and put it in the microwave. Let it heat up for a minute on full power. With this water, moisten a sponge and clean the interior.

There is another valid option of using dishwasher soap in cleaning the microwave with the help of a normal kitchen cloth, which we will put in a container with water and a tablespoon of soap. Once the cloth absorbs the soap, we must put it in the microwave dish without draining and heat it for three minutes at maximum power. Care must be taken not to burn it. This will give off steam, which will scale away grease and food stains. When the cloth has cooled down, we can go over the inside and dry it with kitchen paper.

Water, vinegar, and salt

Put 250 milliliters of water, vinegar, and a tablespoon of salt in a microwave-safe container. We cover it with transparent film, making some holes with a toothpick or fork, or with the cover of the microphone, but only if it has exit holes.

We put the container in the microwave at maximum power for five minutes. The steam that comes out when boiling will moisten the walls and descale the accumulated dirt. Before opening the door, let the reaction work for 10 minutes. Then you just have to remove the plate and wipe with a cloth or sponge, you will see how the stains come out with hardly any rubbing. Then dry with kitchen paper.

Lemon, as a solution

A lemon can go a long way in making the microwave bright and fresh. To do this, we take a lemon and cut it in half. On a plate, we put both halves upside down with a little water and put it in the microwave.
We put it at maximum power for 1 minute or until the inside of the appliance is fogged with the steam that is generated. We will know that when we see the glass of the microwave wet or we catch the smell that the lemon gives off at high temperature.

We open the door and, being careful not to burn ourselves, we remove the container with the help of a mitt or cloth. The steam manages to penetrate the dirt and soften it, so we only have to pass a cloth or a kitchen towel inside.

The power of baking soda

The truth is that bicarbonate has an infinite number of virtues to eliminate stains from different places. Also, the dirt is generated in the microwave. To leave the appliance pristine with this product, we must sprinkle a little on a damp sponge, gently pass it on the walls of the microwave. Afterwards, we rinse with water to achieve an excellent result.
